I haven't written a blog entry in two days! Well, on Friday; I don't know why I didn't write. I was probably busy being busy >.> And yesterday; family came down for the night and just left this morning. I couldn't access the computer, we were busy doing... family stuff.
After finding out that my best friend didn't make it into All District (All District= band competition- if you make it, you get into the county band) yesterday, I spent the rest of the night being sad, because I knew she would be heartbroken. She was really into it. She was off by only 5 points; and she lost those 5 points probably because her reed fell off of the instrument and one of the keys was sticking. She plays the bassoon; the darned instrument's nearly as tall as her if it isn't taller than her. Those judges, she said in an email sent to me this morning, didn't even know what a bassoon looked like before they judged her.
Isn't it ridiculous? Judges that don't know what the instrument that they'll be judging looks like? They took off those five points because a) They didn't know hardly anything about the instrument, and didn't know what to expect, and b) her reed fell off. Ridiculous. I don't know why the All-District people assigned those people to judge the bassoon, but I'm really sad for my friend.
Other than that, nothing's happened lately. I plan to do a revamp of Melted Frost (not Blogspot, but the actual site) and make a new layout. The site's been kind of down lately; not that many people have visited. Less people have commented. The only cool part about Melted Frost right now is the blogspot portion. I'm just about obsessed with Blogspot now. Sadly, I've lost interest in Melted Frost for now and I'm more in Blogspot and Dewy Graphics at the time. Of course, before Melted Frost had opened, I was obsessed with Melted Frost and my interest in Dewy Graphics had been lagging- a lot.
Ughugh. Herb leaves tomorrow... right, Herb? *silence follows* Well well, then. I wish she didn't have to. I'm really sad; half of a month without Herb to chat with =(
I want to rant. But I won't.

Yes leetle herb leaves tomorrow. >.< That sucks for your friend. I hate band, I used to play the trumpet but I got out of it when I changed schools. :(

ReplyDeleteUgh, that's why I hate competitions. Judges always seem so stupid x_x And I never *cough*win*cough*. I feel sorry for your friend :(
